It says I haven't blogged in a week. How is that possible? Because life is getting in the way! But that is what this blog is all about...our life!
I went to Jersey again this past weekend. It was such a great trip, even if only for 36 hours. My flight (out of Orlando) Friday night was delayed. I didn't leave until 10:15pm, and got in at about midnite. My peeps (parents) were outside waiting for me in Atlantic City and it was a nice 10 minute ride home to my Aunt Carol's house where I slept so hard after downing some cold medicine in order to cure my sore throat. I slept in until 9am. Not in years has that happened. As much as I think I needed it, I felt like I missed half my day, as I am used to being awake by 5am most days. I had a nice day on Saturday, having lunch with my BFF from home, Steph, AJ, my godson, who was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia a few months ago, and Madisyn. AJ looks amazing. He is truly an inspiration and has such an amazing attitude, especially given what his little 10 year old body has been through in the last 6 months. And, I got some amazing news at that lunch date-STEPH IS EXPECTING BABY NUMBER THREE IN APRIL!! So excited for them, what a blessing. I can honestly say I have some preggo envy. Maybe I'm not done afterall:)
That evening we celebrated my sister-in-law's 50th birthday with a surprise party! It was so fun, she was completely surprised, had no idea! And seeing her and my nieces and nephew brought tears to my eyes. I just miss them all so much.
I flew back on Sunday and met Ray and the boys in EPCOT. We had an amazing day. We didn't get home until almost 11pm!! Yes, I know, horrible parents we are...actually it was the boys' fault...we couldn't get them outta there!!!!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again-they thrive on adventure and are happiest when they are doing exciting things. Sunday was very exciting!
Jackson starts the big K in exactly one week. We found out who his teacher is and we get to meet her on Thursday night. He's still not jammed about going but is warming up to the idea. He wants a new lunchbox. And some new sneakers that light up. We'll see...
