Week one down...

Week one of Kindergarten is done. However, Jackson missed yesterday and today due to a stomach bug he caught from RJ, who caught it from the snits at preschool whose parents send them to school sick. Jackson could've gone back to school today, but Ray and I are the kind of parents who abide by the old "they can't go to school unless they've been 24 hours without a fever or vomiting" law. We're doing our part to ensure we don't contribute to the spread of the disease. If all parents did this, there would be a lot less sick kids. That's all I have to say about that. Can you tell I'm an aggravated teacher?????????? One more time: IF YOUR KID THREW UP AT 3AM, HE/SHE SHOULDN'T COME TO SCHOOL FIVE HOURS LATER BECAUSE YOU CAN'T MISS YOUR MEETING AT WORK OR THE MACY'S ONE DAY SALE. THANKS.
Our coffee pot is acting up. We put water in it at night, enough for 12 cups of coffee, and by morning, we have about 2 cups of coffee, a cabinet above the coffee pot full of condensation, and 10 cups of water missing. Vanished. Nowhere to be found. This is bad on so many levels. Especially when I'm waking up for my 5:15 spin class.
Someone's turning 4 soon. We are not permitted to forget this in any way /shape /form. When asked how old he is, RJ responds abruptly, "4 in two weeks."
I love that it's Friday night. I love that no one has anywhere to be tomorrow. Well, not really...
