The fun is over...

...the company has left (and left sad eyes a'cryin), but luckily more company is moving in tomorrow (welcome Aunt Lori!) School started today for RJ and me. Jackson has been enjoying his summer with Aunt G's and he's been loving it! RJ is dealing with school and has settled nicely back into Ms. Beth's class. He was excited to see her and his friends today. It was so weird, when we got home, he and Jackson actually hugged each other and got along. I think they missed each other! School is fine for me, I really do like my job. I am in a new classroom this year and there are lots of new, tiny, squishy little people for me to dote on-and lots of GIRLS! In their pink, frilly, polka-dot dresses they are just too cute for words. Last year we were definitely outnumbered by the male species, this year seems to be evened out a bit. Lots of changes at school-all good for the most part. The change I love most is my schedule-I'm working 8am-1pm M-F, which is great and works out all around...especially when Jackson starts Kindergarten...which officially is August 25th! He is easing into the idea more and more, and doesn't run out of the room when it's mentioned anymore. We should find out soon who his teacher will be, and "Meet the Teacher" night is in about a week and a half. Exciting!
We had such a blast with Megan, Ally & Matt last week. The kids were all so funny together, it's like no time had passed since they last saw one another. My nieces are so quickly turning into young women and I am so proud of them. They're so much fun to be around and when I'm with them, I feel like I'm with my sister, which is where I always want to be. My nephew is growing so fast, not the little boy I remember. Jeez, how much one year can change a boy! He's tall, smart, loving, and dotes on his cousins so much. Ray and I both got such a kick out of those three, we really did have a good time. Luckily, Ray got to spend more time with them as well and I'm pretty sure he's glad he did. I think the funniest thing ever was him singing American Idol on the Wii with them. No one was holding back that night!
With that being said, Happy Belated Birthday to Megan who turned 17 on Monday, the day after she left! I cannot believe you are 17. My sister was pregnant with her at my high school graduation. That makes me...OLD!
