Spin Groupie

I know I've been talking about Spin a lot, but I can't remember being so happy after a workout-EVER. In 10+ years of running, I've never gotten the "runner's high" that I get toward the end of EVERY Spin class. My only regret is that it took me this long to try it. So today I decided that Deanna is my favorite instructor. She's very down-to-Earth, a mom, not overly outspoken and "screamy" like some of the other instructors, and man can she crank out some tunes!! Here is her playlist from today:
"Pour Some Sugar On Me", "Teenage Wasteland", "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Jukebox Hero", "Don't You Forget About Me (Don't don't don't don't:)", "Hurts So Good", and "Stairway to Heaven" for a cooldown. Oh yeah, we warmed up to a little "Thriller", RIP MJ.
As soon as I heard the first chord of Def Leppard, I was immediately cycling with my Aqua Net-filled Jersey high hair, blue eye-liner, and shoulder-padded shirt. I love 80's rock, and it sooooo made the class this morning.
Speaking of Jersey, I shamelessly indulged in the second reunion of Real Housewives of New Jersey last night and loved every sick minute of it. Hey-you know what?? I have no choice! There is NOTHING on tv.
Thankfully it's Friday. I'm keeping the tv off because I don't want to hear all the speculation around MJ's death, and I'm a little (as horrible as this sounds) agitated that he died on the same day as Farrah, which will no doubt take away all the memorial footage of her and the fight she fought against the cancer beast and focus on MJ's missing house doctor and "oooh, what happened???" Still, it is sad. I indeed had a crush on MJ as an adolescent but have been turned off by his antics for some time now.
Not sure what the weekend plans are yet. Hopefully the beach, since we didn't get there last weekend. And since next weekend we will celebrate the 4th of July in Daytona with my parents, and the following weekend we're off to Jersey, this will be our last weekend home for awhile.

Should you ever decide to go back over to the dark side - running - maybe in the winter? - I bet your spinning will really help your strength and endurance while running.

I totally agree with you about Farrah - her cancer awareness plight and certain death should have been given more press coverage. A shame about Michael, but very much a shame about Farrah. May they both Rest in Peace.
