Thursday!

A whirlwind week once again! Ray has gotten very busy, very quick. I can tell you in these tough economical times, people are still too lazy to maintain their yards and want to spend plenty on re-doing their yards after a long, hard winter. That's a GOOD thing and we are very grateful. But needless to say, we've seen him a lot less in the last few weeks:(
Another reason why I LOVE my pediatrician: I had to bring Jackson in on Tuesday. He had been coughing for about a week, which we just chalked up to the pollen. He didn't seem too bothered by it, until Monday. He started running a fever and it just wouldn't go away. It ended up being strep (surprise surprise) and now he's on the mend. I had RJ with me at the dr. as well. Without me even saying a word, their pediatrician gave RJ a strep test, checked his ears, checked his throat and basically checked him out thoroughly just to make sure he wasn't sick too. I only paid one co-pay. RJ did NOT have an appointment. So see? There are still decent people in the medical field. Getting back to Jackson and strep: I think he is one strep away from getting his tonsils removed. As a child, Ray had strep very often. I guess Jackson inherited that from him.
Both boys got haircuts this week. Jackson's bowl was long overdue for a different look. And now that he's biking more than Lance Armstrong, all that hair was getting crowded under his helmet. He'd been asking for weeks to get it cut and I was avoiding it, but he finally won. He looks adorable, but now looks 7 years old instead of 4. RJ looks cute as usual too, but my mother pointed out that he now looks like Glenn Beck. And she's absolutely right, it's hysterical. Now Ray is calling him "Glenn" and RJ knows who Glenn Beck is. He'll probably start asking to watch his show too, knowing RJ. My dad will be very proud.
Two more weeks til Spring Break! Not sure exactly what we're doing yet, but Jackson somehow talked me into letting a FEW friends over one day for a little birthday celebration during the week sometime. By a few, I am thinking no more than five. We'll swim and maybe have a sundae building station. Nothing crazy. A few of MY friends have pointed out that every 5 year old NEEDS to have a little party with their friends. These are friends who do NOT yet have a 5 year old!
No plans yet for the weekend. I think I'll make some...
