Everybody loves Saturday night!

The title of my post is also the title of a New Christy Minstrels song. The song is a riot, and I love hearing it. Since I was a little girl, my mom and dad have taught me to love and respect all types of music, even weirdo folk music. And I do. And sometimes I even play it at home. My kids love it too, especially Peter Paul and Mary. Ray-not so much. Ray has been frequenting the "Hair Bands of the 80's" station on Satellite radio if that tells you anything about his taste in music.
The weekend is off to a good start (except for Jackson waking up for the day at 5:34am.) Don't know what that was about, but both kids were an absolute pleasure today. We went to the Y for 9am Pump class. The kids were excited because some of their school mates were in the play center today. They actually got mad when I came to get them. I did 25 push-ups on my toes instead of my knees. Victory is finally mine. After that, we met up with Holly, Coby and Blake for a hike at Alderman Ford. I love that place. We usually see lots of fish, but today we saw none. The drought is awful, the poor fish have nothing to swim in.
We had BBQ for dinner. Yummmmmmmm. Baby back ribs, smoked, pulled chicken, baked beans, mashed, corn, rolls, and brownies with vanilla ice cream for dessert (is your mouth watering yet?) The boys are bathed, pajama-ed, and are sitting quietly on the couch with Ray watching Max & Ruby (well, Jackson is doing math because he just won't stop).
Ray and I decided that tomorrow we are going to each take a kid and have a "one on one" day with them. I get Jackson. And he doesn't know it yet, but we're GOING TO DISNEY! I cannot wait to have a day alone at Disney with Jackson. He is at the age where he needs nothing that will inhibit a day of fun (no naps, no strollers, no meltdowns-you get the picture.) He is a dream in Disney and is big enough now to go on almost everything. His favorite ride is closing next month until November for refurbishing so he'll appreciate one last go on it. My mom is meeting us at some point, so it will be even more fun! Ray and RJ are going down to the farm to work on the tractors, mowers, etc. Believe it or not, I think Ray and RJ will have just as much fun as Jackson and I will.
