...another little Floridian girl was snatched out of her bed and is missing. And people think I'm crazy because this is one of my biggest fears. It's true that I wake up regularly in the middle of most nights and check the locks, windows and such to make sure everyone is where they should be. It's ridiculous that I feel like this, but now my fears are validated once again.
I went to pick up Valentines for the boys to bring into school. They're supposed to bring in 36 each. They don't sell packages of 36. They sell packages of 27 or 32. I didn't buy two packages, so someone's getting jipped. Just another way the card industry is trying to weasel us out of our hard-earned money, and I'm not falling for it. Do you remember the scene from Father of the Bride with Steve Martin when he was in the grocery store buying hot dog rolls? He was ballistic because hot dogs are sold in packages of 10, but hot dog rolls are sold in packages of 8. He ended up getting a police escort out of the store. I was almost Steve Martin in Walgreen's today.
I picked up my dry cleaning today. It was one of Ray's shirts, a pair of my pants and a wrap, which is basically a glorified scarf. It was $19.67. Did I miss something?
I'm happy to report, however, that our electric bill was under $150 this month. In fact, it was under $140. Gotta love January in Florida-for sooooo many reasons!
