Trick or Treat!

Trick or treat has come and gone:( The scary ghouls and jack-o-lanterns were already being put away as of this morning in some yards. It's a day of mourning for Jackson and RJ. They just don't understand how all the build-up leads to such a let-down. But alas, we saw a big turkey at Publix today and all was right with the world again. My mom even bought Jackson some Christmas candy-coated pretzels while we were there, you know, exactly what he needs the day after Halloween.
Last night's excursion was successful. Both boys got a load of loot (my dad even emptied them out once because their bags were so heavy) and let's just say the neighborhood was generous this year. We ended the night at G's for "the really big candy bars" and to eat the Haunted House her and Jackson made the day before. It looked really good but couldn't have tasted more horrible. RJ disagreed and ate until he turned brown from the icing. When we got home, the boys got to open their special treat from Mom & Dad-Jack Skellington ornaments to put on our Christmas tree! Don't you love how we leave one holiday and float right into the next?

These are the Jack Skellington ornaments we bought for the boys in Disney. I saved us $14 by personalizing them myself. What do you think?
