Just in case you were wondering...

...the answer is no, we can't make it one month without one of the kids getting some sort of cooties. Today it was RJ. He started the day with a fever at 5am. I popped some Motrin in him, and by the time he woke up again (at 9am), he was good as new. We went to Jackson's Thanksgiving Feast at school and RJ was in a deep funk. He kept telling me his knees were hurting him (?) so I was somewhat confused. We got home at around 11am, when he was burning hot again. More Motrin, a visit to the doctor, and a prescription for Omnicef later, he's in good spirits and out watching the hockey game with Daddy and will soon be sleeping. He hasn't eaten or drank much today, but he did manage to fish all the carrots out of my beef stew for dinner and had some orange juice to wash it down. Weirdo. Hopefully this "virus" will not spread to the other one and we'll have an illness-free Turkey Day at Nonny & Dude's house. Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Mom got a new toy today on recommendation of the pediatrician-one of those really cool temporal thermometers - LOVE IT! No more under-arm, under-tongue, in the ear, or in the you-know-what for temp taking around here anymore!
Closing with an RJ funny from the dr's office: when RJ goes to the doctor he has no problem communicating his ailments to them. So as he was explaining what was going on to her, she said "RJ, you poor thing, where in the world did you pick up this nasty virus?" to which he replied,"oh, I got it at Publix!"

Have a nice Turkey day...Weirdo! Isabella calls me Weirdo sometimes. She must have picked that up from school from Miss Danielle! :) You know I have to blame all of the bad stuff on school because she certainly NEVER learns anything bad at home.
