Fun weekend!

What a great weekend we had! The weather down here is just amazing lately-warm, sun-filled days and breezy, cool nights. Basically it's perfect! On Saturday we decided to pack up and go to the beach. We had an amazing day playing baseball, making sandcastles, and (eek!) going in the water (I didn't say the water was warm)! We stayed all day and didn't get home until around 6. On the way home we stopped at Target for some necessities. RJ was sleeping so Ray stayed in the car with him while Jackson and I went in. After we got what we needed we headed to the checkout and out of the corner of his eye Jackson spotted Jim Carey's "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." Of course, he begged and I gave in. Between paying the cashier and loading the car with our goods, I was somehow talked in to letting him camp out in the living room and watch the Grinch. He backed up his case with the fact that there is no reason to wake up early on Sunday, and why couldn't he stay up late? How was I to argue that? So we got home and he and RJ pulled out the air mattress and a gazillion blankets and snuggled while watching the Grinch. Yes, Christmas has officially arrived at our house. I have to say that movie is a trip!
We had so much fun on Saturday that we decided to do it again on Sunday! We headed over to Treasure Island and met some friends for another day of sun and fun. We were so happy we went-we all had a great time, especially the kids! We stopped at the store on the way home and ended the day with a yummy dinner on the grill, courtesy of Ray. The Eagles game just started and the boys are fighting sleep. Ray and I were talking on the way home about how lucky we are that the boys are so easy to have fun with and how they're always up for an adventure. We are loving not really worrying about nap times and rigid schedules anymore. It's really like living a second childhood through them. Hope you enjoy all the pics I posted-it was fun taking them even though my camera is a piece;-)
Tomorrow starts another week and Friday we leave for our big camping trip! Tents, outhouses, and alligators-HERE WE COME!
