An unexpected GIRL'S NIGHT OUT!

On Friday afternoon I got a call from my girlfriend Shannon asking me what I was doing that evening. Her hubby, Dave, had surprised her with Martina McBride tickets but was sick and couldn't go and she wanted to know if I would go in her place. According to Ray we had no plans, so I was in!! Shannon loves Martina, and both of us being country music fans I was sure it would be a good time. We got there and bought our $9 beers and decided to get our seats. Apparently, Dave doesn't believe in cheapy seats for concerts because we had some of the best seats in the house (Orchestra section, front and center-THANK YOU DAVE;-). The opening act was still playing (Jack Ingram) and we were having fun people watching. About 45 minutes later Martina came out and started belting out all the familiar tunes and some new ones. She hit every note and didn't disappoint. We were having a great time dancing and singing (well, I was trying to sing but I lost my voice earlier in the day so I was squeaking). She sang for almost two hours then said goodnight.

But wait! There's more! She came out for an encore, and decided to cover some 80's favorites! TALK ABOUT A HAPPY GIRL! She did Summer of '69, Hit Me With Your Best Shot and my alltime favorite-Don't Stop Believin' by Journey! We were pleasantly surprised and it was a great ending to a great show.
