We started out our visit by having breakfast in Disney! It was a lot of fun. We went to the Grand Floridian for the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast! The hotel was gorgeous, the food was great, and the kids were able to get lots of face time with the characters. We celebrated Lexi's birthday while we were there, as she was to turn 3 on Friday. Jackson DID have fun, but he had a problem with the Mad Hatter which made him extremely timid with everyone else, including Mary Poppins and Alice. Mad Hatter was very
loud and obnoxious (although FUNNY) and that's just a combination that turns Jackson away. My nieces and nephew loved all the characters and took some great pictures. I'm glad they got to go since they don't live here all year long and can't enjoy Disney like we can.
RJ also had a great time, and LOVED the buffet! WHAT? All-you-can-eat Mickey Waffles and an ice cream sundae bar?? He shared his chocolate milk with Tigger, but mostly chose food over interacting with the characters. He agreed to take pictures as long as he didn't have to leave his plate, which is why he's seated in all the pictures-in front of his plate and missing from most of the standing poses!
Mary Poppins was beautiful and she even had a British accent, and Alice in Wonderland was very realistic as well.
Jackson and RJ are having so much fun with the kids here. They've been up too late at night, eating too much junk and TRASHING the house but who cares? They're so in love with their cousins it's worth it to see the joy in their faces. My sister left yesterday and my mom went back home until next weekend. So it's just me and FIVE KIDS, lol. Of course Ray is here but is working so he joins in the fun at night. We plan on doing the water park and the aquarium next week, and we're going to the beach tomorrow. We will also be celebrating Megan and Matthew's birthdays next weekend. Throughout all this fun and madness, the boys start school in about a week so I have to get them ready for that too. Summer is going by too fast...but by far has been the best one in a long time!
