Happy Sweet Sixteen Megan!

I can remember very clear the day my sister went into labor with Megan. I was only 17, just graduated high school two months earlier, and wasn't really into babies. But there was something different about this one. I had been waiting for her for a long time. That pregnancy seemed like it took years, so when we finally got the phone call that it was time, we were very excited. I can remember the labor part being forever too, and finally they decided to do a c-section because Megan (ever so stubborn) was in distress and just wasn't coming out. I remember Scott (my brother in law) walking through the delivery room doors telling us she had finally arrived, was healthy, that her name was Megan Patricia. She was a beautiful baby and she's even more beautiful now. I am lucky to be her aunt. I guess the closeness between my sister and me was the reason that Megan meant so much to me before she was even born. I got to do a lot of things with Megan, because when she was tiny I had very little responsibility. I would drive to Philly and spend time with her and my sister often. I have so many memories of when she was a baby and a toddler. I even got to be with her when she went to Disney World for the first time. Once, my sister and I took Megan to the mall to see Santa Claus. She was a toddler then, and like all toddlers she was testing her independence. She walked away from us and over to an area where you could look down at the lower level of the mall. She put her head in between two bars to look down and got her head stuck. It was horrible at the time, I'm pretty sure my sister was crying. Finally, the mall security guard came over and got her out. Looking back, we laugh about it.
Now that I live in Florida, I don't get to see Megan that much. She's an amazing dancer, a fantastic student, and an overall wonderful person who I am lucky enough to call my niece.
Happy Birthday Megan!!
P.S. Megan is considering USF;-)

Are the boys getting Birthdayed out yet? I guess that's a silly question!

And if Megan wants to check out USF, I'm sure Jim would show her around! He moves in in 3 weeks!
