Back in the swing...

It was hard to do, but we've finally found ourselves getting back into the swing of things around here. Matt, Ally & Megan went home last week. There were some long faces and some tears, but I think everyone was ready to be back in their beds and home with their parents. The boys (and me) started school, and summer is fading like my energy these days (am I really going to be 34 next month?). I can't believe an entire summer flew by again, and we're inching closer and closer to RJ turning 3 and (gasp!) the holidays. See, when you have kids, the holidays start shortly after the summer. As soon as they see the first sign of a pumpkin at Target, it's the holidays! We go right from spiders and jack-o-lanterns to turkeys and Santa Claus. And that's FINE BY ME. I love the holidays and especially the kickoff holiday-Halloween! Everything in life is more exciting and special with kids.
The boys are doing great in school. This is Jackson's second year of Montessori school, and next year he will be in Kindergarten. RJ is adjusting well to school too, and his favorite teacher so far is Ms. Donna. It's hard keeping him away from me (I work in the front of the school-RJ is in the back), but at least he's with Jackson and some really good teachers who love him to death already.
I haven't been able to post any pics because my brother in law is going to try to get my lost pictures off my memory card so I was told not to use it. I am going to pick up a new one this weekend, so I'll be able to post some pictures of RJ's haircut (yep, we did it!) and of the boys just being naturally cute and funny.
I'm off tomorrow evening for a Girl's Weekend-WOOHOO! with my three girlfriends. I'm not sure which one of us needs it more, lol. We just need some good 'ole girl time and lotsa drinks! Thank God we have four capable, understanding, wonderful husbands who also happen to be four of the best fathers in the world to help us make this weekend happen. On Sunday evening I will be refreshed and ready to be Mommy again!

I'm glad I was forewarned about the haircut! Now I can try to not be shocked! I was the only person who voted NO! There was no option for just a trim! I have some Halloween stuff for the kids! I'll bring them up this weekend!

All we did was a trim, lol! We just got it off his neck. He still has some curl! The kids are already talking about Halloween, so they'll be glad to see the stuff!
