Full House

It's so weird having three extra bodies in the house-a good weird! The boys always have something to do, and I haven't heard anything about being bored since the Philadelphians arrived. They're EXHAUSTED at night, and they're all sleeping soundly and pretty late in the mornings (except one-can you guess?) I broke the bad news to Megan last night that she had to be up by 8am to report for babysitting duty as I am off to staff orientation at school this morning. She took it better than I thought. The excitement continues...
We took a drive down to Venice on Sunday for Kayla's 21st birthday party. The kids got to swim, eat more junk, and have birthday cake. Things were going great until Allison sliced her toe open on a sliding glass door. Blood started squirting out everywhere (don't you love my graphics?) and everyone was mortified. Exept Allison. She just asked for a Band-aid and some Neosporin and went on with her day. Megan and I were in agreement that if it had happened to either one of us we would have cried like babies.
We had a visit from the tooth fairy the other night because my nephew finally wiggled out his loose tooth. Apparently the recession isn't being acknowledged by the fairy population, as I was told by the fairy authorities to leave $5. FIVE BUCKS. Ray and I, again showing our age, shook our heads in disbelief. We both remember COINS being left under our pillows. Matthew was quite happy when he woke up with a note, complete with a five spot and pixie dust from the tooth fairy. I found him wiggling his other teeth later that day and wondered what he was doing. Apparently he was trying to wiggle out some permanent teeth. I broke it to him that kids only lose their teeth ONCE and the ones that grow back are there forever. He looked a little disappointed.

Glad they all had fun! Too funny with Matthew's tooth! I remember Kayla got a $5 once, but usually it was only $1 or $2! But hey, that was like 15 years ago! The tooth fairy only accepts baby teeth!

Love,
Marg
