Sunday Funday...

...today started out in true "WWF Smackdown" fashion. The boys & Ray were in the front room, not sure why since they are usually banned from there. One person got started jumping on the other, and instead of telling them sit and behave, Ray encouraged some good 'ole fashion horseplay. Jackson & RJ were saving each other from the two headed, fire breathing dragon (Daddy)! It was pure adrenaline-inducing action, or if you're a mother, pure praying-they-don't-smack-their-heads-against-the-tile-and-need-to-go-to-the-ER-and-ruin-our-Sunday action. Thankfully, that ended within about a half hour and I could exhale.

Soon after, we decided to go to the pool because it's too hot to do anything else, so we packed up and did that. We got to the pool to find it pleasingly empty except for a couple kids getting their lessons. As soon as we got settled, RJ and Jackson take interest in a huge ant nest (whyyyy???) and did everything in their power to pi$$ said ants off. Before we knew it, they were crawling all over our area of the pool deck and all I could hear in my head was "the ants go marching one by one hoorah-hoorah". But it wasn't one by one, there were thousands, and they had eggs which they were carrying on their backs (did you know ants can carry up to 20 times their body weight?) which looked like pieces of white rice. EW! I'm so done with ants, seriously. Florida is the ant capital of the WORLD. Finally, after several empty threats of leaving the pool and severe punishment, we got the boys away from the ants. We moved our spot to the other side of the pool and re-settled, this time ant-free. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and the boys swam to their heart's content. Ray got sunburn on his feet, which normally don't see the light of day, and are so funny to see against his savage-tan body. I wish I had a picture to show you but I can assure you the socks won't be coming off those things again any time soon, except to drink some aloe-vera.

Now I have to start thinking of the answer to the next question of the day, "What's for dinner?"
